A Family Tradition

Shelley Smith, far left, daughter of the late Betty Brown, wore her mother's blue coat to Lindsey Wilson College's 120th commencement ceremony on Saturday. Brown served Lindsey Wilson for more than 30 years and was executive assistant to the college's last three presidents.
Smith, who also attended Lindsey Wilson, wore the coat to celebrate her future daughter-in-law, Callie Montgomery, who earned her education degree.

Longtime Lindsey Wilson College Associate education professor Melissa Saunier-Arnold is flanked by two generations of former students, Beth Sneed of the Class of 2007, left, and her daughter, Callie Montgomery, who graduated Saturday.
Sneed teaches English at Russell County High School, and Montgomery will begin her teaching career at Russell Springs Elementary School. Both earned their Lindsey Wilson education degrees under Arnold's guidance.
