Hard lessons about distracted driving
2026-03-20 - Upper Peninsula - Photo courtesy Donna Rieder. The aftermath of a head-on collision in 2011. Donna says, "Although I survived, I'll never be able to run again, and dancing, which makes my heart happy, is a challenge. Thankfully, my passenger wasn't injured. But I could have died that day, and the guy who hit me would have had to live knowing that for the rest of his life.
Slow down, be patient, and be courteous. Driving is a privilege, not a right."
