(Ad) Ad Food Photo: Taco Salad at Pattys Liberty Road

2016-05-13 - Liberty Road Deli, 5097 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY - Photo CM photo.
TACO SALADS are served in very, very generous portions - and they are tasty, too - at Patty's Liberty Road Deli as a special on TACO Tuesday, and with just a little earnest pleading at other times through the week. Seasoning is always right, but no one is scolded when they ask for Texas Pete or even Tabasco to goose it up.

Bears in Great Smoky Mountains used to synchronized cellphotography

2016-05-13 - Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, TN - Photo by Pen.
The Black Bears in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park seem totally oblivious to the synchronized cellphotography. Sharped-eyed observers can see three bears clearly visible. Can a sharp eyed Adair Countian almost see another one? EW

Campbellsville Elementary students visit fish hatchery

2016-05-13 - National Fish Hatcher, Wolf Creek Dam, Jamestown, Russell County, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS).
Campbellsville Elementary School second-grade students visited Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown recently. The hatchery is administered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and is supported by federal tax dollars. Fish raised at the hatchery are stocked in public waters. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery produces about 1 million rainbow, brown, and brook trout weighing 275,000 pounds each year. Students learned about how the hatchery operates and about insects and animals - and CES second-grader Carson Mills even touched a snake. - Calen McKinney

More in photographs than editor found

2016-05-13 - Basement, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c).
Looking through CM photo(s) which haven't been published, I almost missed the big point in this picture: Mom is taking a picture of the dignitaries proclaiming "Pay it Forward" week. Proud husband is beaming, looking on. But the fellow whose come to symbolize "Pay it Forward," is almost hidden, out of sight. Just a reminder that Kasey Blue's favorite program is J.O.Y. Ministries - also one of mine. The photographer is Kasey Blue's Mom, Tiffany Kessler, and Dad, Eddie Kessler. - LW

Tommy Bailey sends this, first of a series, "Rides" photo and writes: "A couple weeks ago my nephew Rodney stopped by to show me his new toy. Wow what a ride. I stood there fantasizing about a road trip. Head west into the sun Route 66 maybe. Get over it Bailey your much to old now. Maybe that trip would best be done on a charted bus along with some other old folks." - Tommy Bailey
