DOCJT graduates 27 from law enforcement basic training

Fishing at Sunset

A short hike down the old Briar Ridge Rd, which now ends in Taylorsville Lake, allowed for a few quick casts and one decent hybrid bass for Evan Waggener. The fish was at half a pound by the second telling of the story, and is expected to have been at least a pound by the time his grandparents hear about it firsthand.

Home of former C-ville Fire Chief Allen Johnson in flames

Campbellsville/Taylor County Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Friday, May 26, 2016, at 114 Oak Street, Campbellsville, KY, owned by Allen and Angie Johnson, which sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. Campbellsville Fire Department Chief Chris Taylor said the first responders from Campbellsville and Taylor County, Columbia, and Greensburg were on the scene for approximately three hours. The fire is believed to have started with a lightning strike.
