Remembering Dr. Phil Aaron - Jr. Stotts carrying Olympic Torch 2016-08-15 - Bowling Green, KY - Photo by Connie Stotts. Blake Aaron, from left, and his father, Dr. Phil Aaron, accompanied Junior Stotts of Columbia, KY, on December 4, 2001 - as Junior Stotts recalls it - as Stotts carried the Olympic Torch on its way to Salt Lake City via Bowling Green, KY and Louisville, KY. Dr. Phil nominated his long time friend for the honor. "I didn't realize just how big a deal it was," Stotts said, "until I got to Bowling Green, KY. It was one of the highest honors I've ever had," he said, and added, "I wasn't quite ready for the emotions I had - it seems everyone else who carried the torch had similar feelings."
