Grider, Glens Fork, KY, at the Downtown Days Classic Auto Show, held for the first time in the Adair Judicial Center Parking Lot for the first time. Wildflowers of KY: The elusive Kudzu blossom 2016-10-08 - Somewhere in Tennessee - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c). Caught these a bit after peak of perfection, but it's interesting to note that, according to the entry, Kudzu, Wikipedia, the flowers of the much maligned plant can be used to make a jelly with a taste similar to grape jelly. (And you thought the leaves were only good for making Kudzu Chips!). As with most plants, there are pro's and con's and in the U.S., the balance of prejudice leans toward eradication of the plant, except among goatherds, who allow their flocks to graze kudzu, according to the cited Wikipedia entry. - EW Comments? | Click here to share, print, or bookmark this photo.
