KY 768 is the longest road in Adair County, extending from KY 61 at Milltown to Pleasant Hill near Montpelier. It includes several named roads and a number of concurrencies. Wow! Somebody will probably bake a lot of persimmon pies, or a luckier sort will make an even better wine or liqueur from the soon to be delicacies. You can almost hear the limbs groaning. there are so many. It wouldn't be fair to tell anyone where they are, but they are almost out of the county. Right now, before a frost, they aren't yet fitten to eat. - EW

Elementary Students at HGR for Food for America event

CES third-graders participated in the Food for America event at The Homeplace on Green River to learn about beef and dairy cattle, trees, farm animals, greenhouses, farm safety and much more. Students played games and made crafts, and learned about where food comes from. Above CES third-graders practice removing shaving cream from balloons, to simulate what it might be like to shear a sheep.
