B.C. Milam Reel, made in Frankfort, KY, known for quality
2016-11-24 - Frankfort, KY - Photo photo by Gene Burch, submitted by Kentucky Fish & Wildlife. This B.C. Milam reel constructed in Frankfort by Benjamin C. Milam in the late 1800s is a fine example of a Frankfort, sometimes called Kentucky, reel. The quality, precision and performance of these reels established a world-wide reputation for craftsmanship. An exhibit at the Capital City Museum in downtown Frankfort features reels made by the four major Frankfort reel makers. Their work made the Frankfort reel synonymous with being among the best fishing reels in the world. - KY & Fish & Wildlife, Kentucky Afield Magazine.

Kentucky Color: Thankful for A Colorful Threepeat
2016-11-24 - Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge. I know those who have not had the honor nor the opportunity to be in Indianapolis on Finals night of the Bands of America Grand Nationals, might not fully fathom the pomp and pageantry on display. Well, a picture is worth a thousand words they say and at least in this instance, it is true. It is indeed quite a spectacle in and of itself but then, to know that tiny Adair County barely visible at the far right is on the field as the Single A National Champion for the third year in a row is truly "icing on the cake". - Billy Joe Fudge
