The old Marcum's Mill had burned by the time I came along in the family, a granddaughter of William David Marcum, one of Sam's brothers. The Columbia Church of Christ Vacation Bible School has been having great attendance. There were 162 on Monday, June 19, and 147 on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. This year's VBS is themed 'Trailblazers for the Faith.' The Western motif is carried out, about, with a western building the lawn. This evening, Friday, June 23, is the last night of classes. There are classes for all ages (including Adults) and a meal id provided each night.
