Hundreds of people - maybe more - are having fun at Holmes Bend on Green River Lake this July 4, 2017 weekend. Did a second take at the person on the power ski - at first looked as though the skier were walking on water. - EW

Tiger Lily blossoms are sterile, plant the little black bulblets

The Tiger Lily differs from others in that these perennials don't produce seeds the way most do. The ornate blossoms are sterile, but, looking into the background you can see the round, black "bulblets" which appear at the point on the stem where each leaf joins. Planting these bulblets two or three inches deep will result in more Tiger Lily plants in future. - LW
