World Traveler and Wine Connoisseur Charles Marshburn purchased a bottle of "Cumberland Red," at the Boat House Winery yesterday. He writes: "I enjoyed the tasting and even bought a bottle of their Cumberland Red. The hospitality was par excellence! With that kind of endorsement, Mr. Marshburn should start a movement asking why the winery hasn't a bottle labelled "Pettit's Fork Creek Pinot Noir," or "Butter p'int Ridge Boar Dough," and/or "Monty Gadberry Strawberry Wine"?

The annual Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce Wares Fair was held Thursday evening, Aug. 8, 2017 in the Holloway Wellness Center at Lindsey Wilson College. It is a time for businesses to introduce themselves to new and returning students. Two of the three Wellness Center basketball courts were turned into booth spaces for hundreds of students to visit. - LW
