Cane Valley Baptist Church, 2291 Cane Valley Road, Columbia, KY, now has a "Blessing Box" with some food and hygiene items for anyone hungry or in need. The box, at right in the photo, was built by young Sunday School members and is there for all. What's a Blessing Box? It's a movement for helping others.

As a flash flood watch remains in effect from this evening, Thursday, August 31, 2017, into Friday night, September 1, 2017, we would like to remind Adair Countians to use caution while driving and around water. We have coordinated with county agencies in preparation of the arrival of the remnants of Hurricane Harvey. We expect flash flooding to impact the usual low lying areas and pooling of water is a risk on roadways. Please plan ahead for a flooding risk over the next few days. Remember to turn around, don't drown, when roadways are flooded... - MIKE KELTNER
