The flowers at this little garden in front of the Columbia Baptist Church draw the eye as you walk by; the scripture on the bench and the dedication bring memories of one of Columbia's brightest stars, and a very favorite author, Julia Ann Pickett Thompson. The scripture is Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of God Stands forever. It's been almost four years since Julia Ann Pickett Thompson passed away, on January 25, 2014. It's good to pause and remember her.
