Kids of all ages will be reassured that what's shaping up as the Biggest Downtown Days ever, opening Friday, October 13, 2017, will include the carnival, with rides and lights - the amusement company even has it's own back up power plant - in its traditional location. Last night, October 10, 2017, as the 2017 Ronald McDonald Wish List Drop off was completing a highly successful drive, this ride was already in Downtown Days staging mode. Watching the complex planning of the festival go together, as if in an internal time lapse camera, is a favorite time in Columbia for many.
