High School students learn about graffiti art

Campbellsville High School junior Annie Lee creates her graffiti-style drawing. CHS students are learning how to draw graffiti-style art. In Jo Ann Harris's art classes, students are studying controversial subjects such as whether copying a person's artwork is ethical and if they believe graffiti is art. Students recently learned about graffiti-style art made popular by many artists, including England-based graffiti artist Banksy. After discussing whether they believe graffiti is art, students were asked to think about the graffiti art they would make. Students are creating art depicting love, religion, the environment, family, freedom of speech and more. - Calen McKinney (CIS)

2017-11-07 - Red Lick United Methodist Church, 3976 Mosby Ridge Road, Edmonton, KY - Photo by Chris Lagermann.
Carol Mullins is shown here sorting the items for Red Lick United Methodist Church's Operation Christmas Child Packing Party. There is a lot of satisfaction in knowing 100 children will receive one of our boxes and learn about the love of Jesus Christ. Each box has a photo of the members of our congregation with a short note on the back. We can't wait to see if we get any correspondence from any of the recipients. Red Lick United Methodist Church will have its Packing Party for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 11amCT.
