Everyone found something different to experience at the annual Janice Holt and Henry Giles Festival in October. Little Brooks Corbin was fascinated by this big antique bed in the Giles House. Hwy 55 S. Road, near Zion, blocked by overturned semi

A truck loaded with crushed stone overturned and spilled out over the road, necessitating a detour utilizing Old Glens Fork Road and other roads in the area as the Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement coordinated efforts with the Adair County Sheriff's Office and the Adair County EMS to clear the area on Monday afternoon, November 27, 2017. On the right the relatively new bridge over Glens Fork Creek can be seen. - EW

Taft Neal returns landing module to earth

Taft Neal kicks off Christmas in Columbia

As regular as clockwork, for as long was many of the elders of the community can remember, on the last Monday before Christmas in Columbia, Lindsey Wilson College's Taft Neal appears with the school's lift truck, and with the help of ground crew Tim Smith of the Columbia Street Department and helpers, residents of the Adair County Restricted Custody facility, gets Christmas underway in earnest. Above, Neal begins his descent, ready on to the next lamp post. - EW
