The Columbia Rotary Club International was happy to donate $250.00 to the Adair County Food Pantry during last night's club meeting. Members of the Rotary Club collected food items and donations on November 17th at the Columbia IGA. Has anyone evaluated unharvested mistletoe crop in Adair? 2017-11-28 - Greater Glens Fork, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. It's green gold amid gullible urban Christmas shoppers, one would think. And we wonder if anyone has cruised Adair County to see how much unharvested mistletoe is unexploited this year? Must be thousands of tons, looking at this excellent but relatively common crop. It would take an experienced timberman to do the calculations, and an experience Christmas for fun & profit exploiter to translate the tonnage in to it's street value and one who understands currency exchange to give comparable values in rubles, Whole Foods, New York, and the highest rate of all, cute little kids selling to their neighbors.
