CHAMPS HOME: National titlist LWC Volleyball team returns

LWC Volleyball returned to AP White Campus the night of December 3 after winning the 2017 NAIA Volleyball National Championship. Lindsey Wilson capped off a perfect season with a 3-1 win over No. 4 Dordt (Iowa) in the championship match of the 2017 NAIA Volleyball National Championship, presented by Delta Hotels, at the Tyson Events Center. Lindsey Wilson concludes a perfect season at 35-0. It is the first undefeated season since Park (M)) in 2014. The Blue Raiders conclude the season having lost just five sets for the entire season. - CHRIS WELLS

Hunter & Joyce Durham volunteer 3rd straight year, OCC centers

The fun signs pointing out each of the countries represented by one of Lindsey Wilson's international students were there just in case shoppers at the annual Christmas in Columbia craft sales needed directions. (These, of course, are not meant to be directions -- although if you wound your way around the countryside instead of taking the straightest path to a parkway, then an airport, it would certainly have to be an interesting journey, right?) -- LW
