No. 3 Campbellsville (18-2, 4-0 MSC) was led in scoring by Lexxus Graham’s 11 points, as she hit three Edward Jones 3-point baskets – the lone 3s for CU. Campbellsville struggled from behind the arc overall, hitting 3-of-19 for only 16 percent. The good thing for CU, the Bears didn't shoot much better by hitting 2-of-16 from deep. Madison Clements got the scoring going early in the first quarter with a runner in the lane but that was the lone basket CU's leading scorer would tally all night. Clements finished with six points, making four free throws in the final few minutes of the game. The Campbellsville men’s basketball team dropped its fourth-straight game after it was outscored 25-7 to start the second half as No. 12 University of Pikeville walked away with an 81-72 road win on Thursday night, January 18, 2018. The Tigers (15-5, 0-4 Mid-South Conference) made just 10-of-30 shots in the second half and started just 2-for-15 from the floor out of the half. Tim Coleman provided the offensive spark for Campbellsville with 27 points, which tied his career high. After patiently posing for a good five minutes, these red-red Robins of Grady Loop asserted a Robin perogative and took flight. The photo was taken Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2018, at around 4:39pmCT. The birds were just one of the wonders along this rising Columbia neighborhoods, another best kept secrets in our town. Grady Loop is a narrow (14 ft?) country lane, and in this section, it's difficult for cars to pass each other without one moving off the road. But Grady Loop therapy can change one's day. Just remember, as we try to do, that though it's a public road, it's the residents neighborhood, and treat it as though it were private. Sidewalk clearance: Best ever? Not perfection, but progress 2018-01-19 - Adair County Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The Columbia Street Department did an excellent job clearing streets during the latest snow, and maybe the best ever at clearing sidewalks. Sidewalk snow removal isn't yet at the same level as streets, and some sidewalks - particularly those on The Pike segment of Burkesville Street beyond its intersection with Hudson, appeared untouched. But overall, progress was made. It's a welcome sight to see such progress, which was more appreciated than ever after a visit to the Adair County School District, where the overall campus maintenance is setting a new standard, and where the message is "Strive for progress, not perfection." - EW.
