It's a lesson the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team has learned over the last year. . . after team was paired and bonded with the amazing family Jeff Walters in Billings, MT, at the 2017 NAIA National Tournament. Walters served as the team's honorary coach last year. Recently, Coach John Wethington, far left and the team learned that Waters' 13-year old granddaughter, Paycee, -- who spent time cheering on the Blue Raiders from their bench during last season's tournament -- was diagnosed with bone cancer. That's Payce in the center, holding the "Welcome, LWC" sign, greeting the team for another Blue Raider run at the national championship. Campbellsville High School junior Annie Lee recently completed an expert certification. Lee completed Microsoft Office Specialist Expert certification in Microsoft Word 2016. She received her certification on Thursday, March 8, 2018. In November, Lee passed Certiport exams in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to obtain Microsoft Office specialist industry certification. She then completed advanced studying and practice to pass the Certiport expert exam. Sonya Kessler is the computer science teacher at CHS. Birds of KY: Married Red-tailed Hawks? Planning dinner date? 2018-03-10 - Between Steve Coomer place and Bobby Downey Farm, maybe in Dr. Parnell tree - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. These monogamous raptors, social exemplaries for family values, were out hunting in a distant tree from our vantage point on Greensburg Road. Ironically, they were spotted just two days after Steve Coomer, who lives less than a mile back toward town, explained their range as being within one square mile of their nest. Assuming our guess on the species and relationship is correct, that's surely a providential coincidence. The birds make a grand sight, above, hunting for their dinner.
