ACHS Air & Space Academy students pass written pilots exam
 2018-05-05 - Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo photo by Tiana Taylor. Senior Nick Taylor and Sophomore Clayton Janes have passed the rigorous FAA written pilots exam. Clayton, who took the exam April 28, 2040 is the first student in Adair County Air & Space Academy to pass the exam. Nick Taylor passed the exam two days later The academy is completing its third year of instruction. The academy focuses on flight/aeronautics, aeronautical engineering, and unmanned aerial systems (drones). The instructors are Matthew Willis and Keri Willis.

Madison Walters and Briley Sapp play a matching game

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently enjoyed some indoor recess time playing board games. Students in Luci Shofner's and Miriah Cox's first-grade classes recently rotated to several different stations and worked in groups to play games. The students played Operation, Go Fish, Chutes and Ladders, Guess Who?, Sorry!, Hedbands, Jenga, Rhyme Time, checkers and more. Cassie Matlock records hit in LWC victory over Cumblerland

Every Blue Raider who came to the plate recorded a hit, led by two-hit efforts from Cassie Matlock, #42, above; Kalli Harris; and Cassie Kooker. Harris and Kooker both finished with three RBIs in the contest. In Lindsey Wilson Softball's 12-3 victory over Cumberland (TN). Matlock, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada's Archbishop O'Leary High School, is a freshman outfielder. With the victory, Lindsey Wilson Softball face Campbellsville University today, at 3pmCT, at Michael O. Buchanon Park,9222 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY The Lindsey Wilson team head coach is David Dews; his assistant is Sam White. Both are in their 5th season.
