This garden, in a land far from his homeland, is dominated by showy, snowy irises, a reminder of home, and old friends back in Russell County. The starter white iris bulb was a gift from a friend, thus the sweet sentiment of nostalgic memories of Russell County at the sight each spring. Recently, a hat tip to the friend brought the rest of the story, the beautiful life-long romance of her parents, a story which make these iris of incalculable value.
