Authors Carol Perkins and Susan Chambers, seated at left, welcomed a multitude of hometown friends, fellow classmates, former students, and admirers to their History Book Reveal, simply called EDMONTON. It took place Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Barnlot Theatre, on the eve of the Edmonton Bicentennial celebration kickoff. Standing in front of their table, purchasing copies signed by the authors, are Ed Waggener, editor of ColumbiaMagazine.com and Dottie Thompson Nagel, Edmonton native and former student. - LW

A favorite old home in Adair County

Driving through southern Adair County, I always enjoy the view of this well-preserved older home at the end of the little lane. It's the same style as one in my Dad's family in Metcalfe County and reminds me of home. - LW
