R. writes, "I attend church at Columbia United Methodist Church. Today is All Saints Day. We remembered those that we've lost this year. Ed Waggener was one of them. When remembered, Richard Lee Walker lit a candle for him. It was an extremely emotional moment for all of us."

York and Bryant win bikes for ACES Attendance

On Friday, October 26, 2018, Casey Creek Lodge #536 F&AM presented bicycles to the first nine weeks attendance winners of Adair County Elementary School. Eight bicycles, with helmets, were donated to the school for the 2018-2019 school year. Two bicycles will be presented each nine weeks.

Over two hundred boys and over two hundred girls were eligible for the first drawing. Ashton York won the girls bike and Bailey Bryant won the boys. Congratulations!

It's not too late to give a gift for the Crusade for Children to a fireman if you'd like to support the good cause, but it is too late to enjoy pancakes at the annual breakfast cooked by volunteer firefighters.
