Roadblock - a negotiation that I lost 2019-02-04 - Russell County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. This crowd liked the hay by the roadside better than the grass in their field. They took control of the narrow country road in eastern Russell County. At first sighting, I slowed down then slowed more, finally to under five miles per hour, thinking they'd move along when they noticed my movement, however, I lost that negotiation. They didn't clear off until they were good and ready. The young horned one on the right, so cute in his furry winter coat, made it clear with a long, hard glare that it was his community, his road and I would just need to sit and wait. He wrote that Coca-Cola was being sold in this drawing (not kept cold) and his dad, Cotton, who was about 12 years old at the time, is captured in the picture drinking a Coke.
