Winter Weather at the White House

The White House photographers have been catching some interesting shots of Marine One coming and going in the snow this winter. This shot on the South Lawn of the White House was taken Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, as the official helicopter arrived to transport the First Family to Joint Base Andrews, MD, for their trip to Palm Beach, FL.

LCADD holds first meeting of new year

Stargel takes 3rd at KY Youth State Wrestling Championships

On Sunday, February 3, 2019, 13-year-old ACMS student Trayton Stargel wrapped up his final season with the Taylor County Youth Wrestling Program, when he traveled to Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY, to compete in the Kentucky Youth State Wrestling Championships.

There were 29 competitors from all across the state in the 130 pound weight class, and the top 6 medaled. Trayton finished out the state tournament with only one loss, bringing home a 3rd Place medal.

Horton places 2nd at KY Youth State Wrestling Tournament

Malakai Horton placed 2nd in his weight class in the Kentucky Youth State Wrestling Tournament held this Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY.

Malakai, the 13-year-old son of Anthony and Elizabeth Horton, is an Adair County Middle School student who wrestles for Taylor County Youth Wrestling.
