Rural Country Scenery Along Highway 52
2019-04-23 - Danville, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis. I spotted this windmill of sorts, last year during some of my travels. I did stop that initial first time to try to get a pic, but wound up not taking any images. This year I noticed the barn, due to weathering and the passage of time had collapsed even more and looked more appealing than last year. I took some liberties with the photo in the post processing, and the large bird (species unknown) provided a nice finishing touch. This scene, while it lasts, can be viewed along the road that travels from Danville to Lancaster, Highway 52, (on the right) just a few miles out from Danville. Pic taken April 22, 2019. --ROBERT ELLIS. (c) Robert Ellis Woodworking

CM brand was the golden egg of our holiday
2019-04-23 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. These Easter holiday eggs were created with clay over plastic and each came with a surprise inside. There were bunny rabbit eggs, modern art versions, eggs with stripes and flowers, eggs with scary monster faces, and then there's the egg on top. The yellow egg with blue letters and art is a Columbia Magazine brand egg. The Columbia Magazine brand egg with the C and M on either side of the historic Adair County Courthouse clock tower was a marketing idea conceived by Hailey and crafted by Tillie. It was the golden egg of our day. - Mema/Linda Waggener
