Day Trip: Ready to head out from Adair Recycling Center

Day Trip: arriving at Adair county Recycling Center

The building in the middle is where to delivery materials for recycling. The Adair County Recycling Center is open from 7am-3pmCT Monday through Friday at 62 Service Road, Columbia, KY. The Center accepts plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, steel, and aluminum cans.

Day Trip: nearing turn to Adair County Recycling Center

Heading to the Adair County Recycling Center from Columbia, continue north on Highway 55, just past Day and Day Feed on the left, look for Service Road. Turn left where the red truck is coming out in this picture - across the road from the green sign designating the Department of Transportation Highway Garage, before getting to Harvey-Ellis Chevrolet.

Day Trip: follow Campbellsville Street to the Recycling Center

To get to the Adair County Recycling Center, take Campbellsville Street from the Public Square in Columbia, pass over the Russell Creek bridge, pass Williams Furniture, pass Cody's Auto, pass the Bingo Parlor and keep going until you get to Day and Day.

Day Trip: from the Public Square to the Recycling Center

This Day Trip feature takes us on a pragmatic trip to the Adair Recycling Center, leaving the center of our universe, the Public Square in Columbia, KY, by way of Campbellsville Street, Highway 55 North. In this Jason Mardis drone photo, it shows the four roads leading away from the historic Adair County Courthouse - Campbellsville Street is the artery most visible in the front center of the picture. Going in the circle around the courthouse, Jamestown Street leads off to the left, Greensburg Street to the right, and the Courthouse tower points to Burkesville Street in back of it.
