Ph.D. graduate Darlene Vaughn of Woodlawn, Va., celebrates after she is presented the second ever doctorate degree to be awarded in the history of Lindsey Wilson College. The first was Cincinnati native Leon Ellison who received his degree last December. Vaughn graduated from the Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education & Supervision Program.

The photo is a bit fuzzy because I couldn't stop laughing when I pulled in at the home of good friend Lois Cunningham and saw all the cats, happy and at home, on the warm driveway - and two more outside of the picture frame. I wasn't surprised and didn't ask if there were a convention or if they all lived there. Whether it's cats, kids or grownups, everyone loves to visit Lois. - LW
