Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan writes, “I was honored to sign a proclamation yesterday, May 21, 2019, proclaiming May 19-26 as Emergency Medical Services Week in Adair County. Left to right are Wayne Ray, Preston Gaskins, Chad Wheet, Jason Upchurch, Daryl Flatt, Tony Bragg, Robin Lewis, Raena Steele, Tami Strange, Rita Bragg, Mary McGuffin, Hannah Morales, Mike Keltner, and Donald Hare.” Proclamations were signed at both the Judge's and the Mayor's offices declaring it EMS Week in both the city and county.

Band Director granted request for uniform help

Board. The band continues to receive extraordinary honors, the most recent one puts them among the top 88 bands in the world.

Firefighters Crusade given donation from School Board

Firemen Charlie Crawhorn, Terry Harvey and Donald Hare represented Adair County's fire departments at the board meeting to receive the school system's contribution of over $3,500 to help kick off the Crusade for Children fundraiser taking place this weekend. Adair County firefighters will be working through the Memorial Day holiday to collect for the Crusade.
