Campbellsville Independent School System teachers were honored at Campbellsville University's recent Excellence in Teaching Award Ceremony. Dr. Donna Hedgepath, far left, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Dr. Lisa Allen, sixth from left, dean of the School of Education, presented the awards.

New fawn at Salato

One of the two new arrivals in the deer pen at the Salato Wildlife Center this spring. They probably have already been named by park staff, but Hailey immediately dubbed this one Dearcy and the other Cupcake.

Accident on Hwy 55

Use caution if you're driving on Highway 55 North this afternoon. Traffic is backed up both directions on Highway 55 at the Green River Bridge where there has been an accident. 4:43 PM CT/5:43 PM ET. The Taylor County Sheriff and the Kentucky State Police are on the scene.

Sulayne Grider shares news of Sara in California

Sulayne Grider says she and her husband JD are proud of their daughter Sara, a graduate of ACHS and UK, who is now doing an internship in her chosen field of media publishing in California. She promises a picture of Sara to come after she settles in. Sulayne is an agent/CSR at Reed Bros. Insurance on the Square in Columbia which also has locations in Lexington, Campbellsville, Burkesville, and Greensburg plus partnerships in Somerset and Franklin. The for rent sign is for the penthouse apartment above Reed Bros.

Wildflowers of Kentucky: Fleabane pretty in pink

The little daisy called Fleabane grows everywhere in the region in white, but this pink version is more rare.
