FOUND Missing Blood Hound: Zeus

UPDATE: Ned says Zeus has been found, at Sugar Foot Farms. Blood Hound has been missing since Friday night between Subtle and Breeding areas on the Metcalfe/Adair County line. He answers to the name Zeus. If seen, please call 270-432-3912, Ned Reagin.

Adair County Teachers honored for excellence at CU

Adair County Schools' teachers were honored at Campbellsville University's recent Excellence in Teaching Award Ceremony. Dr. Donna Hedgepath, far left, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Dr. Lisa Allen, sixth from left, dean of the School of Education, presented the awards. From left are: Hedgepath; Courtney Collins, Adair County Primary Center; Lachana School, Adair County Middle School; Chad Parnell, Adair County High School; Allen; Debbie Bradshaw, Adair County Primary Center principal; and Phyllis Curry, Academic dean. Teachers are selected for this honor by their schools to receive Campbellsville University's Excellence in Teaching Award. This is the 33rd annual ceremony held on the Saturday after commencement.

Have a kitten - or two - to start your week

The Green River Animal Shelter announced last week that they are not taking any more cats nor kittens until the population is under control. Many like these two are potty trained and wormed and ready for adoption into loving homes. GRAS is located at 455 Appleby Dr, Columbia. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10am-4pmCT; Saturday 10am-2pmCT; Closed Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. For more information call (270) 385-9655.
