Ken Parsley wins the Kentucky State ASA Archery Tournament 2019-07-30 - Frankfort, KY - Photo by Linda Parsley. ACHS Senior Ken Parsley won the Kentucky State ASA Archery Tournament in Frankort, KY over the weekend. Ken competed in the High School Open Male division and had a total score of 312. The KY ASA tournament consisted of 30 3D targets which were in a wooded setting at the Cove Springs Archery Park in Frankfort. Ken competes in several archery tournaments throughout the eastern U.S. His next competition will be later this week at the McKenzie ASA Pro/Am Classic in Metropolis, IL. This is a view of Dale Hollow Lake from the Lodge dining area looking toward Trooper Island. The lake was crowded with boat traffic when Connie Stotts and I were there Sunday afternoon. We were sorry to learn we'd just missed the opportunity for visitors to tour the island the day before. For just a moment, we considered offering to join the large Church group announcing they were heading from lunch to a baptizing in the waters off Trooper Island.
