Thanks to some photographer who arranged for this keepsake photo in advance, citizens had time to gather in the doors and windows, even the upstairs windows, and look at the camera positioned at the Courthouse on the Public Square in Columbia, KY many years ago. It's interesting to read the signs and see that in the upstairs of the corner building where there has been a recent art gallery (sadly now closed), there was also an art gallery in the previous century. The most visible downstairs building sign reads Frazier Bros Dry Goods. This historic picture is used by Caleb Irvin who creates promotional pieces to focus attention on downtown Columbia's once-monthly Friday evening "To The Nines" business open late events. A full agenda allows for bills to be addressed, departments to bring issues before the court, and county business to be discussed.
