November proclaimed Veterans and Military Families Month
2019-11-06 - Columbia - Photo from the office of the Adair Judge Executive. Pictured at the VFW Building, from left, are: Joe Hare, Dickie Scholl, Ken Edwards, AC Judge Gale Cowan, Robin Woodrum and R.T. Gossett. Judge Cowan writes, “As Adair County Judge Executive, I was honored to sign a proclamation Tuesday morning proclaiming the entire month of November as National Veterans and Military Families Month. I got the idea after President Trump signed a similar proclamation. Our Service men and women serve our country daily, but they are not the only ones who make the sacrifice. Their families are left behind to keep things going at home and lots of times they are forgotten. I think it’s time we change that and honor not only the Veterans but also the families. I ask all of Adair County to stand with me and honor our heroic service men and women and their families during the month of November, 2019."
