Laconia Olson, at right, told Nita Hesford at the recent Lindsey Wilson College appreciation luncheon, "I wouldn't be here without your scholarship gifts." Nita told her, "Honey, you are to be admired for coming to college - at any age. Aging people tend to focus on being old but I say 'You're here aren't you?'" She will soon turn 90.Katrina gave Nita back from New Orleans to Adair County, where her roots are. She calls herself 'the Last of The Tutts' - Five brothers and one sister, Frances Glasgow, have passed away. Laconia is part of the Olson family from Glasgow with a longstanding tradition of graduating from Lindsey Wilson College. Her Great grandmother Bertha Hamilton was in the first graduating class. Both daughters will be graduates of LWC when she and daughter Esther join former graduate, daughter Ruth, in the May commencement ceremony.
