Walkers stop for a visit in the old neighborhood

2019-12-24 - Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
John and Marcia Walker were welcomed for a visit at Columbia Magazine on December 23, 2019 to share warm memories, good old stories and plenty of laughter. John, the son of the late Pete and Edith Cundiff Walker, grew up in the historic Field House on the corner of Fortune and Reed Streets. They now live in Frankfort, KY. He has many memories of Adair County, especially Gradyville, where his grandfather Hob Walker ran the general store. Hob married one of the Waggener girls so that's how come there's a cousinship to be honored with regular contact through the generations. - LW
