Santa's work is done for 2019

2019-12-25 - Taylor County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Santa's work is done for 2019 after many children of all ages have shared their wish lists. At this stop in the Main Street bookstore in Campbellsville, he hears from our mutual friend Davaa Dorjsuren. Christmas is different in her country of Mongolia but still a great time of family celebration.

God used ordinary people to bring His plan to pass

2019-12-25 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Mary, mother of Jesus, was played by Laura Brummett who reflected her experience and spoke the lines in the play, "As I looked down at my son, my Redeemer, I knew he'd be the one to change everything. Because he had already changed me."

The play in Glens Fork made the point that God used ordinary people, to bring His plan to pass. Now more than 2000 years later, He will continue to use each of us to complete His restoration.

Christmas Eve comes to life through individual accounts

2019-12-25 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Speaking as if it happened in real time, the birth of Jesus was brought to life as speakers told the story in the early December Christmas play in Glens Fork.

The Innkeeper, at left, was played by Jeff Stiles... "Even when it's not your best room, no matter what, when it comes to God, always make room."

A Shepherd played, at right, was played by Bro. Craig "Okie" Trumbo..."I'll never forget what that angel said..."good news to all the people. That means us too."

Play brought Christmas Eve to life

2019-12-25 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
The night of Jesus' birth was portrayed through individuals's experiences in one of the early December Christmas plays in Glens Fork. The character of Elizabeth, at left, was played by Tammy Trumbo who said... "God delights in making life in impossibly barren places."

The character of Joseph was played by Brent Cundiff who said... "I can see why God chose Mary, she knew God was in control. What I can't figure out is why He chose me."
