Groundhog Day Farm Report: Babies everywhere here at the Pampered Angus Ranch. Three of five babies want to start their careers in the calf modeling industry early. One shy one is behind the roll of hay and the other still out in the field with momma cow. They sure were loving the sun this afternoon. The mud is beginning to settle a bit in sunny spots but still a mess around the barns where the sun is blocked part of the day. They had visitors this week from a high ranking Future Farmers of America Adair Chapter officer. Wow we are moving on up as George Jefferson would say. Green River Animal Shelter 2019 review 2020-02-03 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The Green River Animal Shelter was among the highlights of Adair county Judge Executive Gale Cowan's update from the year 2019. The team adopted out 400 animals in 2019 and sent 357 to animal rescues. Adoptions were down almost 100 animals, but rescues were up almost 300 animals. Director Tammy Campbell gives their progress report at each month's Fiscal Court meeting. The adoption fee pays to have animals spayed or neutered at a local vet. 455 Appleby Dr, Columbia.
