Turkey Vulture roost on City property

2020-02-08 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Buzzard Roost in the city - A flock of what looks to be dozens of Turkey Vultures on the Foust property/now City property on Burkesville Street in Columbia. With a long lens, photos make it appear they are the Turkey kind of vultures with red heads - a welcome sight - because their counterparts, the black vultures, are a huge danger to calves, small pets, and even humans.

Scam reported - may be age discrimination

2020-02-08 - Adair County, KY - Photo from Tamara Andrew.
"My father-in-law received this in the mail. I called the water company, just in case, before saying for sure that it was a scam and they confirmed that it is a scam. My husband and I haven't received one so we're wondering if this company is just targeting elderly people." - Tami
Thank you for sharing this, Tami, we're glad to know you contacted the water company and determined this is a scam so Columbiamagazine.com can help get the word out and people aren't fooled into getting involved. Another writer shared that a printed notice (determined to be a scam) was tacked on his door. - LW
