Remembrances at the genealogy program

Harriett Wheeler Loy in the photo at left was remembered for her foods and the linen tablecloth at right which was on the table when Mary Anne Loy first met her mother-in-law. The keepsakes and samples of recipes were part of the genealogy program, Historic Kentucky Kitchen.

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue called to Old Hodgenville Road

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of heavy smoke in area of Old Hodgenville Road. A second alarm was initiated for water supply and tanker support from Taylor County Fire Department. Upon arrival firefighters found a large barn with heavy fire showing. Firefighters extinguished the fire and provided overhaul to the barn. There is heavy fire and smoke damage to the entire barn. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No civilian or firefighter injuries weere reported. There was one calf that perished in the fire.

Miniard wins 20th-annual Lindsey Idol

LWC freshman Nicholas Miniard of Russell Springs, KY, is announced as the winner of 2020 "Lindsey Idol" on Thursday in V.P. Henry Auditorium . This is the 20th year the college has held the competition that is a parody of the television program "American Idol". More than 300 students and guests attended the three-night event that began on February 11, 2020.
