Letter: about those birds and their conversation
2020-03-07 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com. This reader got a good laugh and responded to the first photo of these three outraged Geese posted a week or so ago. She messaged: “This is Connie Slattery - I just wanted to compliment you on the photo of the three birds that are having a conversation about you - a whole book could be written about the conversations they are having about you, totally delightful! I’ve enjoyed every minute looking at the picture and I've been trying to print it out but I'm not having much luck. Again, you've made my day - it is so funny. I do thoroughly enjoy your photos." - Connie
Enjoyed your message, Connie! It made my day and I hope you also enjoy this extra view of them as well. Thank you for being part of the ColumbiaMagazine.com family! - LW

Flags give wind velocity
2020-03-07 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Flags flying, as this one was in the Gibson Cemetery outside of Edmonton, announced the wind velocity even when there were no weather reports handy. The first week of March 2020 had been a windy one, first warm and breezy, and then cold and much more windy. That's my official unofficial weather word. - LW
