March Lilies on Buckner Hill

For over 100 years, people have been amazed by the blanket of March lilies that blooms every year just as the season changes to Spring on Buckner Hill in Greensburg.

This beautiful historic site on top of a cliff overlooking the city of Greensburg and the Green River on Buckner Hill road.

Fitzpatricks celebrating 45 years together

Dick and Linda Fitzpatrick celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary surrounded by family members, church family and longtime friends Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. They renewed their vows spoken 45 years ago on that date in the church at Western Kentucky University.

Hailey's special event cake

Two blue layers with a yellow layer in between, and rainbow icing colors representing Dad's February birthday and the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day and Her Mom’s birthday this month. For all those special days and because she had the dutiful assistance of her Mema, Hailey Waggener, 8, made the cake today.

All ages helped prepare and serve at Picketts Chapel

Little Lacy Edwards, 5, was photographed reaching up high to carefully cut out biscuits for the annual Picketts Chapel UMC Country Ham Supper fundraiser. She is the Daughter of Lannie and April Edwards who live in Campbellsville now, formerly of the Mell Ridge area near Pickett's Chapel. Even though they relocated, they still return to their home church.

Making biscuits as fast as they could

Beth and Gale Cowan and Sandy Coffey were making biscuits and delivering them to the food line as fast as they could for the annual Country Ham Supper fundraiser at Picketts Chapel UMC. They paused to count and it seemed they'd made pans of 60 biscuits about five times when the photo was made and it was only midway through the event.
