Serving up French cuisine at 2019 International Marketplace

Carla Alibert of Balma, France and Stephan Dasse of Lille, France served up French cuisine to students, faculty, staff and community members at the annual International Marketplace from 2019 in the Doris & Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center at Lindsey Wilson College. Alibert and Dasse were two of the many students representing 23 separate countries at the annual event.

The annual event, formerly known as the International Festival, has brought the world to the Columbia-Adair County community for nearly 20 years, but had to be cancelled in 2020 due to current events.

Students from the LWC International Student Program made presentations and offered food samples from their home countries.

2019 International Marketplace

More than 450 students, faculty, staff and community members attended the college's International Marketplace on Friday in the Doris and Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center at Lindsey Wilson College. The annual event, formerly known as the International Festival, has been held at the college for the past 20 years.
The campus and community experienced a diversity of cultures through authentic cuisine and dance. They also learned about unique traditions from the native lands of the students that make up the LWC International Program. This spring, LWC enrolled a total of 98 students from 39 countries including Nigeria, Paraguay, Spain, Sweden, Uganda, Poland, Senegal and the United Kingdom.
