Scenic Adair County: looking down Jamestown Street Hill

Jamestown Street in Columbia is one of the prettiest entries to the Public Square, especially with the dramatic view from the Hill. The Redbud trees in bloom adds extra flair this spring.

Keeping the green lights on during pandemic

Every night the Adair County Fiscal Court is lighting the outside lights of the Annex Building green remembering the sick along with their families and honoring those that have lost the fight.

Caring for the family cemetery

The photo was made by Bruce Cocanougher after the first mowing in March 2020 of The Cocanougher Cemetery on Long Run Road near the Texas community in Washington County, Kentucky. Bruce continues to work on eliminating wild violets that have a 200 year jump on him in killing out grass. Bruce says about 80% are eliminated.
