Accident at Parkway exit, New Columbia

Drivers are advised to use caution at the Cumberland Parkway exits and entries near Walmart as an accident occurred there a little before 9pmCT. Vicky Pike was out doing farm chores and heard the crash in what appears to be a one vehicle accident. From her yard police, two ambulances and fire trucks can be seen.

Hazardous Weather Outlook
 2020-04-12 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Mike Keltner, Adair Co. Emergency Management. Showers and storms are possible this evening through late tonight as a cold front advances toward the region. The strongest storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and heavy rainfall, although hail and a brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Best chance for strong to severe storms will be across southern Kentucky.
Strong wind gusts to 50 mph are likely overnight and into Monday morning in the wake of the aforementioned cold front. A Wind Advisory is in effect.
