Birds of Kentucky: Baltimore Oriole
2020-05-14 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Pam Capozziello . Pam writes, "Hello! I recently took this photo of what I believe to be a Baltimore Oriole enjoying some nectar on our hummingbird feeder. I love photographing birds and horses and just happened to peek out my kitchen window and seen him on the feeder. Had no idea this bird enjoys fruit, especially oranges, and if none are available they will drink nectar."

COVID-19 Update: Adair continues with far more cases
2020-05-13 - Frankfort, KY - Photo from state website. As the update is posted this evening, Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Adair County continues to have far more cases and deaths than any surrounding county or any of the ten counties in the Lake Cumberland District Health Department of which Adair is part. The majority of the cases come from the nursing home which has been closed to visitors since March, however, as essential workers must come and go, it is possible for the virus to spread from there into the community at large requiring extra care to be taken by all leaders in determining reopening procedures.
