Lost, injured dog in need of help

Update 11:20amCT, dog has been reunited with its owner. Don't call Bo. A dog showed up at our home in the Longhunters subdivision, Columbia, this morning. It's injured. Contact Bo at 270-634-3031.

Epicurean Kentuckian: Brats on homemade buns

Two men missing in Lake Cumberland

Officials are searching today for two swimmers who went under in the Low Gap area of Lake Cumberland at approximately 4:15pmET on Friday, June 5, 2020 and did not resurface.

According to Russell County’s Emergency Management Director, H.M. Bottoms, the two male victims were from out of town and they were reportedly swimming with two females when their boat started drifting. In trying to rescue the boat, both of the men were seen going under and never resurfacing.

Bottoms stated that the two females were picked up by another boat. The search is now in the Low Gap area between Jamestown Marina and Wolf Creek Dam. As of 7:25pmET Saturday, June 5, neither of the men had been found.
