Where were you when Elvis died, this date 1977?

Where were you when Elvis Presley died is the question of this anniversary death day. CM contributor Jane Todd shares, "I was 13, standing in Metcalfe Rexall Drugs in Edmonton looking at records, drinking an orange aid from their soda fountain when someone came in and said Elvis had passed. Mom immediately started thinking how to write an article for the Edmonton Herald-News where she worked at the time." -JT

A couple of these guys showed up on the deck on Saturday, likely in search of the parsley we've been failing to grow. This one looked like he might have picked a spot to start his cocooning phase, but he was gone a few hours later.

It started as some leftover french fries and an ear of corn. Garnished with some colors from the garden and a sunny egg, it turned into a thoroughly enjoyable brunch.
