First responder day proclaimed, 28 October 2020

2020-10-27 - Columbia, KY - Photo from City Hall, Columbia, KY.
With the date of October 28, 2020 having been designated as National First Responder Day, the following proclamation was signed today by Mayor Pam Hoots with Officers John Harris at left, and Jason Cross at right:

Whereas the state recognizes those men and women in our community for their heroic efforts to take care of Columbia and Adair County;

Whereas we would like to recognize the local Columbia Police Department; Emergency Medical Services; our Fire Department, Emergency Management, 911 Center, Adair County Sheriff's Office, State Police and everyone who assists with their efforts;

Therefore be it ordained that First Responder Day will be recognized in Columbia, Kentucky on October 28, 2020. - S/Pamela Hoots, Mayor, City Of Columbia
Columbia Magazine invites readers to send notes to honor and thank those who have answered the call for help over the last year as we add our gratitude.
